Minas Argentinas opens its offices in the former Cinzano and gives new life to a historical space in San Juan
Minas Argentinas S.A., a company of the Aisa Group dedicated to the operation of the Gualcamayo mine, officially inaugurated its new offices in the former Cinzano site, in the city of San Juan. The space, which had been abandoned for years, now regains life and activity with the arrival of the company, generating a new hub of economic and professional movement in the area.
Through the refurbishment of the old administrative headquarters of the winery, the building facing Avenida José Ignacio de la Roza was transformed into the administrative headquarters of the Gualcamayo Mine and the Aisa Group in Argentina: spacious, modern, and comfortable offices. With a coworking space for more than 70 people, 6 meeting rooms, and all other necessary facilities for daily work. Additionally, the building was equipped with solar panels that generate almost all of the energy it consumes, reaffirming the group’s commitment to efficiency and responsible use of resources.
The event was attended by provincial authorities, representatives from Aisa Group, suppliers, colleague companies, and friends who support the operations of Minas Argentinas in San Juan.
“What we have is a different model; we seek the permanent reinvestment of everything we generate, with a strong commitment to the region. It is a model of being up to the expectations of our people and what is expected of us. We seek to build a legacy of development for the communities we work with,” stated Juan José Retamero, founder of Aisa Group.
“It is a great joy to see that projects come to fruition. About a year ago, they came to see me and show me these projects on paper. And today we are already seeing it and it has become a reality,” added Marcelo Orrego, Governor of San Juan.
The relocation of the offices is part of a process of institutional consolidation of Minas Argentinas in the province, which complements the recent advancements of the Gualcamayo Mine. The company obtained approval for the seventh update of the Environmental Impact Report (EIR), which reaffirms its management during the evaluated period and allows the start of permits for the Deep Carbonates Project (DCP), with which the productive life of the deposit will be extended for at least another 20 years.
The Deep Carbonates Project is in an advanced stage of engineering and technical and economic feasibility studies, positioning Gualcamayo as one of the most relevant gold developments in the coming years in San Juan.
With this inauguration, Aisa Group reaffirms its long-term commitment to the province, combining investment, employment, and urban recovery. The former Cinzano site is now being transformed into a productive and innovative space, with a positive impact on the local community, where in the coming years the holding led by Retamero will carry out a massive real estate project, constructing a housing complex, a shopping center, and a hotel, among others.
Minas Argentinas continues to consolidate its presence in San Juan through investments that promote sustainable development, strengthen the value chain, and create opportunities for genuine employment in the region.
